Siddharth is 9 years and 6 months and has Retinopathy of Prematurity.  He requires both physical assistance and verbal prompts to complete daily activites.

Sue Radford, his classroom teacher describes how the education team have worked collaboratively to support Siddharth as he develops his independent physical skills to perform daily tasks.

Siddharth is enrolled in the Homai Campus School and his education team work alongside Siddharth and his family to achieve his IEP goals: To practise movement skills and demonstrate the ability to link them in order to perform movement sequences.

He is working with his Resource Teacher Vision, Virginia Ashby, learning to make use of the keys on the computer keyboard so that he can make choices after listening to the instruction on the Dolphin Guide computer programme.

Loa is a 16 year old learner with low vision who is in Year 12 at her local High School and at times she has needed to rely on friends to assist her with phone communication.

Shannon is 10 years old and is currently attending her local primary school and transitioning to intermediate for 2013.

She participates in Practical Maths mornings which are planned by the BLENNZ Wellington team at least once a term, to provide concentrated sessions for braille learners on practical aspects of the New Zealand Maths Curriculum.
